Information on Bali island
My last post concluded the beauty of Thai islands.South east asia is a perfect place for beaches as caribbean is in the west.One of most favourite island is Bali near Indonesia(governed by Indonesia).Largely Hindus(appr. 93%).Unlike indonesia which has mostly muslims.Indian’s would specially love to go because it has numerous temples of indian gods and goddesses.Bali is the wealthiest state of indonesia.Tourism dominates much to bali’s economy.official language is indonesian,beside balinese is widely spoken.It has population of more than 3 million.
Bali is a great recreational places and you shouldn’t miss this island as your destination if you are traveling far east countries or upto thailand.It is a bundle of natural scenery including mountains,forests(woods),fantastic beaches and of course hindu temples.Denpasar is bali’s capital city.It has more traffic than other places,but still its quiet and pleasant.It is a prosperous city,infact bali island is quite prosperous by economy.
You should visit volcanic eruption region and lake at Gunung batur.Kuta bay(also legian) is other one large crowd drawing place.But recent terrorist activities have slowed down the traffic.Bali was recently bombed by terrorist,so it just lost a bit of charm as peaceful island.Bali has got very cheap accommodation,traveling and food.Also beers here are cheap.You can still get western food if you want.But you can taste some of its delicies.There are some nature parks and national parks.Its fun and exciting to watch them.Bali is fascinating even underwater.It has variety of marine life accompanied with diving and swimming.Also it has various items prepared from sea-food.Sea-food is much common variety here.
You can reach bali by first landing at international airport at Jakarta(Capital of indonesia) and then you have plenty option to reach bali by boat or ferry or ship.Buses run at bali island for transportation.As far accommodation is concerned,you need not to worry about that because you have many resorts,cheap lodges and spa centres here.Oh ya! Spa,forgot that spa is another thing you must surely try at bali.Soothing and ebbs out tension.
